Nadi Accommodations
Since Nadi is the main entry point into Fiji, this city has plenty of accommodations to suit every kind of traveler. Whether you are looking for a budget range hotel, a backpacker hostel or a deluxe luxury resort, Nadi has it all. If you are looking for accommodations in Nadi, it’s important to keep in mind how long you will be staying here. If you are in the city for more than a couple of days, you have ample choice on where to stay. A good option would be to live in the New Town Beach area, as you will have plenty of hotel choices here. However, if you are in Nadi for just one night, your best bet is to stay along Queens Road, where many of the hotels are used for airport stopovers only.
In Nadi, accommodations and hotels are mainly found near or along Queens Road. This road connects Nadi with the Nadi International Airport. In between there is a suburban area, Martintar, which offers a number of cheap and inexpensive hotels to stay at. Mainly used by tourists who are on a tight budget, Martintar is well connected to the airport with a number of buses plying through here. Nadi’s most popular budget hotel, the Nadi Bay Hotel can be found here.
New Town Beach offers a variety of accommodation options for travelers who are looking for inexpensive living alternatives.
Away from the bustle of the city, this area is rather peaceful with a dive operator in the area, as well as horseback riding and fishing trip tours provided by the Travellers Beach Resort.
Around 1.5 km southwest of New Town Beach, Wailoaloa Beach also has a number of affordable resorts to choose from. A grayish brown sandy beach in the Nadi Bay area, Wailoaloa’s only disadvantage is the lack of transportation to the area.
Most mid-budget accommodations in Nadi are on Queens Road and offer the typical tourist fare. Day rooms are available here for those who need to catch a night flight out of Nadi. A good place to stay at if you are traveling with your family, this area is also close to many restaurants and shopping stores.
If you have plenty to spend and want to enjoy the ultimate in luxury, head to Denarau Island, around 7 km west of Nadi town. Known as the Denarau Island Resort, three Sheraton hotels can be found here, along with a time-share complex, a marina and the Denarau Golf and Racquet Club, with its 18-hole championship golf course.
