While Suva has a pretty good nightlife, the entertainment here is rather subdued when you compare it to most other capitals of the world. However, if you are looking for a good time you will definitely find it in Suva. Friday and Saturday nights are the most happening in the city, with Victoria Parade crowded with people clubbing and drinking. There are a number of bars, clubs and pubs located on Victoria Parade to enjoy yourself and have a fun time till the early hours of the morning.

Traps Bar is one of the most popular bars in the city and is chockablock full on weekend nights. A great place to socialize, there is a dance floor in the back, with a snooker room as well. O’Reilly’s, the Barn and JJ’s Bar and Grill are also popular hangouts to party and have a good time. If you like going to the movies, the Village 6 Cinema Complex is located on Scott Street and often features the latest Hollywood movies. The cinema screens Bollywood or Indian movies as well, which are a treat to watch with their song and dance routines.

For a more quiet night out, dinner at one of Suva’s many restaurants is a good idea. The Raintree Lodge has an excellent restaurant, which serves a variety of dishes from continental cuisine to traditional Fijian meals. For some great seafood head to JJ’s Bar and Grill.

If you like hot and spicy food or wish to taste some exotic Indian curries, there are a number of Indian establishments in Suva you can try out. Ashiyana and the Hare Krishna Restaurant are known for their great Indian dishes. There are a number of Chinese, Japanese and Korean restaurants in Suva as well which serve some great food.

For coffee and a quick bite to eat, head to the Republic of Cappuccino, which is a very popular hangout in Suva. Kahawa, Enjoy and Fusion are also terrific places to grab a quick meal.
