Yasawa Group Accommodations

Resorts and Hotels in Yasawa Islands There are plenty of accommodations in the Yasawa Group, ranging from budget hotels to exclusive resorts. However, what is so great about the budget accommodations here is that they share the same gorgeous beaches and sights as up-market resorts. A lot of budget resorts are now being set up in the Yasawa Islands, as more and more tourists are coming to this idyllic paradise.

Most of the budget resorts in the Yasawa Group are locally owned and vary from the simple rustic bure to more modern bure that has electricity with a toilet and hot shower facilities. Accommodations range from a dorm style living area, to bure that are shared between two people. If you can afford it, some budget resorts also have a family bure. Meals are usually included in the price of your room and are simple local dishes.

Camping is also allowed at many of the budget resorts, however, you have to make your own meal arrangements. One thing to keep in mind if you are thinking about camping in the Yasawa Group is that there are no shops or grocery stores around. If you plan on staying here, bring your own food and snacks.

At the more exclusive resorts in the Yasawas, the bure are comfy and spacious with air conditioning and separate living and bedroom areas. Meals are included in the room price, along with drinks and most activities. Keep in mind that some luxury resorts do not allow children under 12.

When choosing a hotel to stay at in the Yasawa Group, it is important that you take into account the kind of vacation you want to enjoy. If you are staying in Wayasewa for example, the snorkeling off the beach is not that good, but the trekking here is superb. If you are more interested in snorkeling and diving, stay on the tiny island of Kuata. For a more up-market budget resort, the Octopus Resort on Waya is a good choice, while if you have the money to spend, stay at the Turtle Island Resort on Turtle Island. The most famous resort in Fiji, the Turtle Island Resort offers exclusive accommodations, with children only allowed at the resort during Christmas and in the month of July.

For a more private secluded getaway, head to the exclusive Yasawa Island Lodge on Yasawa Island. Located in the northernmost area of the island group, this luxury resort sits on a gorgeous stretch of the coast. One of the most popular resorts in the Yasawas is the Oarsmans Bay Lodge on Nacula Island, which offers comfortable accommodations for the entire family.
